This booklet is a collaborative effort between the Glencairn Museum and the Pennsylvania German Cultural Heritage Center at Kutztown University, with the exhibit taking place March 1–November 3, 2019. Artifacts, documents, and photographs of the Pennsylvania Dutch folk culture are displayed at the exhibit. As public expressions of art and tradition in action, the barn stars of the Pennsylvania Dutch have captured the interest and imaginations of generations of Americans, and offer a unique opportunity to visually engage with the history and folk culture of the region.
