I've been studying the Bible since being a child growing up in Pennsylvania over 60 years. I use the King James Version as my primary, and at times the German Martin Luther Version since both German and Pennsylvania Dutch were spoke in my home. I did not know there was a translation in the Pennsylvania Dutch my Grandparents spoke to me. Very much enjoying the Bible translation.

Now at 77 I need to work at becoming literate! I have earned a BA with the English language but still can’t read PA Dutch - which I understood from early childhood !

Bought this to begin learning Pennsylvania Dutch. Can't wait! The book itself if beautifully made and pretty typical of any bible. The pages are on bible paper, thick book, gold edges. There was a pamphlet in the back about pronunciation that I think was helpful- although it's only meant to teach how to read the language if you already speak it. So, not entirely helpful for my purposes but, I wasn't expecting the booklet to even be in there. I was delightfully surprised.
