A Grateful Mennonite
Growing up in a Mennonite environment, speaking only Low German until school-age, the author grew to fully appreciate this background later in adulthood as he encompassed the globe. Observing many Mennonite communities the world over, he saw first-hand how they each had contributed to the country where they settled, and found that the Anabaptist principles of Menno Simons are still viable in today’s world. This heritage also influenced the author’s proclivity for volunteer work throughout his life. This greatly broadened his travels and resulting friendships. This book covers the transition of our times from farm-based to high-tech. (264pp. illus. Friesen Press, 2014.)
