  • 1200

This is a history of a Warwick Township, Lancaster Co., Pa., farm and the families who lived there. It begins with the earliest persecuted Swiss Mennonite landowners of Hans and Catherine Burkholder and ends with the Paul S. Nolt family. The farm, following a tragic barn fire, was sold to development in 1969. Families include: Burkholder, Landis, Nolt, Oberholtzer, Stauffer. (74pp. illus. index. Author, 2021.)

A narrow but valuable history
This history of Crosswinds Farm is well referenced and descriptive, and a piece of early Mennonite history in Warwick. The original farm was built by my 4th great grandfather, Jacob Burkholder and his wife, Barbara Brenneman Burkholder on land deeded to him by his father, Hans Burkhalter Jr., who arrived in PA in 1717. That house still stands, incorporated into the development that now stands on the farm. Much Warwick history here.
