Angels in Action

Rebecca Johnsen and Dolores Parsil

  • 1600

Angels in Action is a delightful children’s book about what angels do. Their jobs, gleaned from the Bible, are told through poetry that can be sung to the tune of “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star.” The book is illustrated with various art genres, including children’s drawings and classical art. The first angels presented are from the Old Testament and then the focus moves to the work of angels at Christmas and Easter. (Ages 4-8) (46pp. full-color illus. Masthof Press, 2017.) $16.00

Two thumbs up!
I'm a grandmother very much looking forward to sharing the charming poetry and illustrations of this delightful book with my grandson! This book is a good addition to our family library and it'll be a special way of introducing young family members to God's angelic army.

A treasure
Angels in Action is a thoughtful and fun way for children to learn about the purpose of angels and some of the ways in which they were present throughout the Bible. Beautifully written poetry, meant to be read to the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star," makes these stories easy to understand and remember. It's an inspired and a unique concept. The color and draw your own angel pages at the end are a fun and interactive way for kids to personalize this treasure. This book would make a lovely Christmas or Easter gift for little ones. I'm a soon to be aunt and I look forward to reading this with my nephew.

Inspirational
This book is beautifully written, inspirational AND informative. The simplicity of the words being sung to the tune of "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" makes it perfect for small children. At the same time, it provides great biblical information, much of which I frankly did not know. The drawing and coloring pages at the end provide the icing on the cake for a small child. The most important thing from the point of view as a parent is it is a book that I would enjoy reading to my child (or perhaps grandchild). It is colorful and fun as well!!! Well done Rebecca Johnsen and Dolores Parsil. This should be a staple in any Sunday school or home collection.
