German Immigrants: Lists of Passengers Bound from Bremen to New York, Vol. II, 1855-1862, With Places of Origin
Immigrant passenger records arriving in New York from Germany are now accessible through these volumes compiled by Zimmerman and Wolfert. It should be mentioned that only those persons are included if a specific place of origin is noted. Each volume covers about 35,000 immigrants for a total of 105,000 immigrants; each entry lists a name, age, place of origin, date of arrival, and name of ship. (177pp. hardcover. Gen. Pub. Co., 1986.)
