Subtitled “Everything Just Went Right,” this book shows how Ed Nolt’s early life shaped him and that the resources and relationships he formed allowed him to develop the baler, in spite of the struggles he endured. Ed Nolt’s distinctive skills, personal habits, and fertile mind made him a remarkable inventor admired by engineers and entrepreneurs who recognized that his traditional Mennonite background and values were not impediments but were real resources for his success. His inventions helped to cement New Holland’s reputation in the farm equipment industry. (141pp. illus. index. New Holland Area Hist. Soc., 2015.)

Ed Nolt the quite humble inventor
This book is a very nice book. For all the time and effort he put into getting that Baler out is remarkable. I appreciate how he was humble and didn't want recognition. This book will captivate the reader from start to finish. The author did a fine job of writing the account.

Ed Nolt..the quiet genius
Just read thru this book and liked it a lot. Basically the story of the perseverance of one man to invent/perfect the automatic hay baler. Ed Nolt did what many said was impossible to do and made history. A great historical account for those interested in the New Holland baler story.
