This is a loving story designed to teach children about respect and kindness in a post-pandemic world, addressing delicate issues related to masks, as well as the COVID-19 vaccine. Told from the calm, inquisitive voice of Waggles the dog, themes of freedom of choice, parental decision making, as well as an explanation of what children hear in the mainstream media are all explored. Waggles must learn to navigate new paths of friendships. (32pp. full-color illus. Masthof Press, 2022.)
