Volume 9 of the best Pennsylvania German dictionary out there!
The ninth volume of the best Deitsch dictionary out there! If you're looking for a dictionary to help you read Pennsylvania German literature or study the language, you should absolutely use these books! The Comprehensive Pennsylvania German dictionary uses the modern B-B-B orthographic system that is used in Hiwwe wie Driwwe, rather than the spelling system used in Es Nei Teshtament.

Each volume of this dictionary has a very informative introduction that includes a timeline of Pennsylvania German lexicography. The timeline provided is great if you want to take a deeper dive into Pennsylvania German academia. There is also a bibliography of texts that the editors used as sources for the dictionary as well.
