A Bridge to the Past: A History of the Römer, Roemer, Reymer, Raymer Family
This is the story of Philip Röemer (1760-1831) and his descendants. Born in Germany, he immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1772 on board the ship, Minerva. As an indentured servant he arrived in what is today Perry County. Joining the army in Cumberland County, PA, Philip was a Fifer in the American Revolution. After his service, he married Elizabeth Statler/Stotler (1775-1849) and had 12 children. They lived near Greencastle, Franklin Co., PA.
