Using the map included in this issue I was able to visit five locations where ancestors lived. Many of the locations look quite similar today when comparing them to the photography in this issue. I am SO grateful that I found this website, this issue of your publication, this map and this part of my family's history.

very helpful later this fall when I (and a niece) visit Mons, Belgium for 100th anniversary WWI activities and continue on to Strasbourg, France and Zurich, Switzerland. The unexpected detail while reading this issue of Mennonite Family History has certainly given us an exciting destination to find in Hirzel. I will be ordering more back issues in the future as I am sure I'll find other stories with links to my own story. My ancestors include the family names Huber, Krug, Dankert and Shewfelt (Zufelt).
