A story of the early Mennonite settlers of Lancaster Co., Pa. Zook focuses on the families of Hans Ulrich Huber/Hoover and Hans Graf/Groff but also includes Alexander Mack, Conrad Beissel, Indians, Eberlys, Wengers, Sauers, and others of the early 1700s. Drawings of tools and household furnishings as well as maps of the time period illustrate the book.
